Facebook announces New email+sms+im system

This morning Facebook announced they are rolling out a new email+sms+im system.

Soon we will be able to have an email address @facebook.com, with the benefit that wherever you are any of your friends will be able to reach you.

For example: your friend emails you, but you're not on-line. Facebook will then sms you that message - even if your friend doesn't have your mobile number.

In addition, because you have already told Facebook who your friends are and those friends have said who their friends are, the number of spam will be virtually non-existant. Or at least not exist for very long.
