Surprise your email list with "sideways emails"

Here is another new marketing idea to keep your eye on: "Sideways emails". By which we mean emails that you have to scroll sideways, instead of downward. Abercrombie & Fitch are testing this idea. I'l be watching them to see their results with it.
Using sideways emails has several technical constraints, but none that are insurmountable . My main concern however is that you could only really use it on the digital natives, ie: up to 30 year olds easily. Less easily with 30+. It would be lost on the over 50's age group I am sure.
