SEO Tactic: Following the successful spammers

Warning: spam-tactic - below is for instruction purposes only. It helps sometimes to know where the edges of the field are.

This tactic involves following what the "successful spammers" do. What you’ll be doing here is finding out where comment-spammers are getting their backlinks from.
But we're doing it in a smarter way. This is a very very powerful method once you understand what’s going on. Use the search strings we provide to you in the video, such as: “acai berry” + siteurl:.edu + “comments”

backlinkwatch.com - This is the research tool you use to find where comment spammers are getting their backlinks from.

List of known comment spammers who were found in the video that you can plan around with researching where they are getting links (These sites could be either gone by the time you visit them, or set to nofollow - it's a fast-moving target ):

1) http://www.teethwhiteninginstructions.com/ (5,320 backlinks)

2) http://www.acaiberrystudy.net/ (5016 links!)

3) http://www.wiki.nasa.gov blog PR9 site

4) http://www.scienceroll.com PR6

5) http://www.ozzy.com PR3 linking to PR6 homepage

6) http://www.avrilevine.com

7) http://www.jessicasimpson.com

8) http://www.diabetesmine.com PR6

9) http://www.carrieunderwoodofficial.com PR5

10) http://www.windowsteamblog.com PR4 linking to PR7 homepage

Sometimes you have to go extremely deep in the search results at google to find what you are looking for. Just play around with the search strings (a few ideas are shown in the video on how to do this – also get creative).

You’ll probably have to spend some time playing around with the search strings and terms, and digging around deep in the results.

It only takes just finding 1 or 2 comment spammers and you’ll open a trail to tons of high PR websites that you can comment on, where in some cases, the comments won’t even need to be approved.

Just comment and you are instantly backlinked from a high PR site.  Sweet.

Also, in the video, you’ll see that we found the comment-spammer acaiberrystudy.net and once you find where the comment spammers are, then you go and plug their website URL into the site http://backlinkwatch.com . You’ll see the example where one site has 5016 backlinks that you can go check out. Pay attention to if it is “no follow” or “do follow” blogs or not – because you only want the ones that are NOT “no follow” for this method.

Note: It’s good practice to also place your links on PR 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 sites along with no-follow blogs. But with this technique, we just stick to the high PR sites to get some great link juice in addition to getting backlinks from lower-tier sites.

You’ll want to keep an eye out for high PR sites and "Google-weighted links" like .gov and .edu sites where the spammers are getting their backlinks from.  Takes a lot of time so outsource this work when you’re able to.

- Search in the results for .edu and .gov too. you want all of these you can get

- Don’t worry at all about the PR on the .edu and .gov sites.

- Make a list of all of the good websites to you can use them all now and ongoing.

- These comment spammers waste a lot of time posting on no follow blogs – reason being is they may be using a software to submit comments on 1,000,000 blogs and hope that some backlinks will stick.

- You will be working smarter and only posting on the sites that will benefit you – and you’ll stay under the radar from Google and other search engines because you’re not going to add 1,000 backlinks a day or more to your site, right?  We hope not!
